Kamen Rider Gavv is an upcoming Japanese tokusatsu drama in Toei Company’s Kamen Rider Series. It is the sixth series to debut in the Reiwa Era and the thirty-ninth overall. The series is scheduled to premiere on September 1, 2024, joining Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger in the Super Hero Timelineup after the finale of Kamen Rider Gotchard.
The series’ catchphrase is “Snacks and Evil, I’ll eat them up!!!!” (お菓子も悪も、俺が食べつくす!!!!, Okashi mo aku mo, Ore ga tabe tsukusu!!!!).

In Kamen Rider Gavv, the story follows the protagonist as he battles various enemies using the power of Gochizo, a creature linked to his Henshin Belt. Gavv’s primary form is based on a gummy candy motif, and he has access to other forms like the chocolate-themed Chocodon and the lollipop-themed Gurucan.

Despite being one of the cutest rider design wise, the story is one of the darkest.
People turning into highly addictive edible alive, the monsters have their own society, thier family members who get addicted to said edible are willing to do anything for it. They have to do this ‘job’ just to get the edible, willing to die for it too. When one of the twin died it’s sad af man.
The stuck together plot feels more like something from a Sentai series

three Choco episodes and my thoughts on each one
episode 6 : While Valen’s debut was not maximized, it’s really realistic since He just got surgery before transformation
episode 7 : Gavv Chocodan form was quite interesting since He had to eat the chocolate bar to form a gun and that meeting between Shoma (Gavv) and Hanto (Valen) was nice (also gotta love Shoma and Sachika’s interraction with the other characters)
episode 8 : Valen’s fight with Glotta Stomach (Glotta? Grotta? idk) was dope. And lol Hanto waiting in front of the mansion. Shoma fixing His mistake with His Strength was cute and Shoma saying “Wah! It’s a monster” calmly made me laugh for no apparent reason, also Shoma’s transformation… nice
