A national competition is held every year and elementary school student Hiro Suzuki and his friends formed team “Bright” to try to win it. However, the day before they were to contend in their district tournament, their Gunpla was lost and the team dissolved without ever competing.

A few years later Hiro begins his first year of high school and finds himself reunited with his old teammates and his gunpla. With Hiro as the pilot, Takumi as the builder, Kentaro as the programmer, Nakamura as their commander, and Sota as the armorer they once again take aim for the national tournament.
